Accreditations

Healthways is committed to making a difference around the world by improving the quality and efficiency of health care. This commitment to improvement culminated in being the first to beta test NCQA’s disease management standards. Since 2002, Healthways has been accredited and/or certified by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Accreditation is a comprehensive evaluation process based on an organization’s degree of compliance with a specific set of standards.

NCQA is the acronym for the National Committee for Quality Assurance, a non-profit Washington D.C. based organization whose mission is to improve the quality of health care. NCQA was established in 1990 and is widely recognized as the gold standard of quality for health plans.
